Stylgame breaks the mould with height adjustable slot bases

Having carried out an in depth study into the ergonomics of playing slot machines, Italian stool manufacturer Stylgame came up with the best anthropometric dimensions to bring comfort to slot player. It’s findings, though, taught that the chair wasn’t the only thing that should be adjustable.

Italian stool manufacturer Stylgame has broken new ground in offering comfort to slot players by manufactur- ing and patenting the first height- adjustable bases for slot machines. The company carried out scientific

research regarding player ergonomics and found that extending the princi- ples of comfort in seating to the slot machine bases as well brought extra comfort for the player. According to the president of Styl- game, Luigi Iulita, the idea is totally innovative and will revolutionise the furnishing concept in the gaming industry bringing to the market a series of innovations that will improve comfort for the player whilst being

easy for the operator to install. This ambitious project has already

received an enthusiastic response with its first order being completed to the new slot hall of Casino de la Vallèe in Saint Vincent in Northern Italy. “We can consider ourselves to be

the first company in the world to define and settle the ergonomic issues regard- ing the use of the playing stations for slot machines,” Iulita explained. “Having started the production of ergonomic seats, we decided to extend the results of the study to the bases as well. These had never been thought of as height-adjustable but help to obtain the correct posture for the player whilst being practical for the opera- tors to install.”

The Spilimbergo/Italy-based company recently opened its first US

branch in Las Vegas and immediately recieved a prestigious contract: the fur- nishing of the luxurious VIP lounge at the Bellagio. This opportunity allowed Stylgame to design and implement a new series of exclusive and elegant wooden chairs.

The attention to detail in the selec- tion of materials and the use of advanced technologies are the basis for a process which boasts profession- alism and a long term experience in the production of stools and chairs specific for casinos. “Our focus on the player’s comfort has always been our priority,” Iulita explained.

beherenow ARISTOCRAT

Players in Europe are set to benefit from a faster first taste of new Aristocrat games following the global gaming organisation’s adoption of GLI11 standards in its new Gen 7 world base. President of Aristocrat Americas, Nick Khin, has recently taken added responsibility for overseeing operations across the EMEA region. As a former head of Aristocrat Europe, he under- stands the anticipation that European operators have experienced whilst waiting for the latest games to filter down from the United States, Australasia, Asia and other regions that histori- cally took first bite of the cherry. He said: “Overseas customers visiting the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas are often saying ‘that’s a great game…when will it be available to us?’ To

which the response has fre- quently led to a far from ideal conclusion.”

He continued: “Part of our global turnaround plans is to advance a market-driven product strategy and by moving to this new world base we can now respond to customers’ needs far quicker than before.” Aristocrat has already advanced its planned Euro- pean roll-out of the new Viridian WS widescreen cabinet and many of the 30- plus new games being launched at January’s ICE show in London will be immediately available, subject to jurisdictional approvals.
