Red Letter Days for charities

Charity begins at work for Team Pensord

Pensord People are regularly raising funds for our nominated charity, The Hospice of the Valleys, for which we have so far raised over £40,000 through these staff efforts, and through a share of company profits, along with company donations of £1 for each print project we quote on.

Once again many staff donated the money they would have spent sending Christmas cards to each other to the fund.

As part of our involvement in the PPA Scottish Magazine Awards, Pensord donated a voucher for a Red Letter Days experience which helped to raise almost £1,900 towards PLAYBACK Recording Service, the Glasgow-based charity that provides a tape and reading service for those who are visually impaired. PPA Scotland Business Manager Kathy Crawford said: “I know that the team at Playback will be over the moon when they receive the cheque – the Red Letter Days voucher was an inspired choice.”

Pensord People Drew Wilson, Brennig Bayliss and Gareth Hannam raised £362 to be split equally between the Pensord nominated charity, The Hospice of the Valleys and The St. David’s Foundation, through a 26 mile local bike ride in driving rain at the end of the year. Well done all.

Publishing Expo 2010 Charity

As part of our presence at this year’s Publishing Expo at Olympia on February 24th and 25th Pensord will be offering a £500 Red Letter Day prize – that’s £250 to the winner, and £250 to the charity of their choice. So come along and see us at Publishing Expo.
