Dublin University Women Graduates Association (DUWGA)

Communication through culture is the current theme of the DUWGA, and local activities include informative lectures and cultural outings, public speaking and poetry readings, plus meeting returning Scholars and graduates.

Nationally, DUWGA belongs to the Irish Federation of University Women (IrFUW), with branches in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Belfast who welcome women graduates of any recognised institution of higher education in the world. Globally, the IrFUW is affiliated to the University Women of Europe and to the International Federation of University Women (www.ifuw.org).

DUWGA will start the 2008/9 year with a reception to open its new room in 36 Fenian Street.

MONDAY MORNINGS: poetry group meeting

AUTUMN PROGRAMME: Connecting through Culture theme includes several theatre outings during the Dublin Theatre Festival, a visit to the Worth Library and a talk by poet Paula Meehan.
