2. BORDER COMMUNITY
THE END, WEST CENTRAL ST, WC1
Saturday 22/11
ALREADY an institution, it’s strange to
think James Holden’s Border Community is
one of The End’s youngest nights but then
Holden was only 19 when the melodic strains
of his ’99 cut ‘Horizons’ propelled his name
into the regard.
Joining James in the main room will be his
prized discovery and the equally prodigious
Nathan Fake, who’ll be embarking on an
ethereal live voyage, whilst BPitch Control’s
Ellen Allien and Border fave Avus complete
their strongest main room bill to date.
Offering a more funky alternative, the lounge
will get a fi nal chance to wig out to one of
Kieran ‘4 Tet’ Hebden’s now legendary Border
Community sets, while the Warm residents are
taking charge up in the AKA, bolstered by the
arrival of the disco edit king — Mark E.
It’s hard to imagine Border Community’s
special, intimate atmosphere translating to
any other venue and tonight is the last chance
to experience it at The End.
