Learning from experiences
We gain new experiences every day, but it’s only
when we look and analyse those experiences that we
begin to understand their true value. “Well, you learn
from experience,” my mother always told me when
something had gone wrong, and in all honesty the
phrase then left me believing I’d only ever learn from
bad experiences. Did I learn from positive ones too as
a child? The answer, of course, is yes. All experiences
in which we take an active involvement will aid the
learning process. And with experiential learning, it is
the fun and enjoyable aspect that really makes the
learning stick.
