DOWN VAUXHALL WAY
Notting Hill Home Ownership (NHHO) is making home ownership aff ordable
throughout London, with two such examples in Lambeth.
St George Wharf is located close to Vauxhall Bridge, and off ers contemporary urban
living for the fi rst-time buyer in the capital. The development is located on the banks of the
Thames, with landscaped courtyards, a riverside promenade and a piazza lined with shops,
cafes, restaurants and bars, and with Vauxhall underground and rail stations opposite.
NHHO has recently launched phase two of its aff ordable homes programme through which
a number of one-bedroom homes are available to purchase through New Build HomeBuy.
The scheme is available to fi rst-time buyers living and working in London, with priority to
Lambeth residents and public sector workers in Lambeth. All remaining properties have a
private balcony, as well as fi tted kitchens with stainless steel oven, hob and hood, fridge and
washing machine.
Prices are from £315,000 to £375,000. To buy a 25% share of a one-bedroom home valued
at £315,000, you will need to be earning at least £31,500 and will need savings of around
£3,000-£4,000 to cover legal fees and mortgage costs.
Also coming soon is Salamanca Tower, a striking 17-storey landmark building located
close to Albert Embankment, on the South Bank, which is due to launch in Summer 2008.
Salamanca Tower will off er 13 one and two bedroom apartments available via shared
ownership. Located within easy reach of the lively Vauxhall scene, the development will
also off er good links into Central London. Further details of this development will become
