Phil Blackmore and Lou Ellis
Meteorite
Phil and Lou have been together as a team for three
years. In that time, they have won The Gold Caples
for Best Alternative/Ambient Media, the MCCA’s
Best Young Creative Team in 2006 and a DMA Echo
– Automotive Leader in 2007.
Their career has taken them from Proximity Lon- Winning work: Royal Mail,
don through WDMP and Draft London/Draft FCB Sunday Times and Vauxhall are
to their current position. And they have worked among Blackmore and Ellis’
across numerous channels, including TV and outstanding campaigns
direct mail.
They are passionate, committed and have an
attention to detail that means the execution always
lives up to the power of the idea. This they demon-
strated superbly at Proximity with a Special
Stamps campaign for the Royal Mail to celebrate the
Royal Horticultural Society’s 200th Anniversary.
Their work for Vauxhall at DraftFCB was a true
labour of love. They produced a pop-up children’s
book in seven weeks from start to finish for the
Vauxhall Corsa – a subsequent DMA Echo Award
winner.
Since arriving at Meteorite, they have applied
themselves to the agency’s key accounts with just
as much vigour and invention. Costa Coffee, Home-
base and Royal Mail are just a few of the successes
they have notched up within a relatively short space
of time at the agency.
