Traffic lights up Young womenswear label Traffic People has
the King’s Road
opened at 178 King’s Road.
Founded in 1999 by design-duo Louise
Reynolds and Mark Readman, the
company began as a stall in Camden
Market before moving to Portobello Road
six months later.
The designs were a huge success and in
2007 the first Traffic People store opened
on Kingly Court off Carnaby Street,
followed by a second store in Spitalfields in
2008. King’s Road is the company’s third
store.
Designed by Louise Reynolds, the Traffic
People collection is inspired by modern
day icons such as Doris Day and Ava
Gardner and blends floaty feminine fabrics
with urban chic.
The new autumn/winter collection fuses
sultry lace, chiffon and silks with studs and
sequins. New ranges include the
Pretenders, which includes dresses and
jumpsuits made with the party season in
mind, as well as Jungle Fever and Sequin
Fan.
