JOHN WALKER is holding his first solo

The exhibition brings together 50
small scale works, all painted on
discarded bingo cards that were found
in the artist’s studio.The works reflect
the changing weather, light and tidal
patterns along the coasts of Maine,

feature on the bingo cards.Their small
size – 7ins x 5 ins – makes a radical
change for the artist, who is renowned
for his large scale canvases.

MU AT the Millennium Hotel is holding an
evening of cabaret entertainment on October
22, in support of the Help for Heroes charity.
Tickets cost £39.50 per person, which
includes a pre-dinner drink, two course Asian
influenced meal, coffee and petits fours as
well as the cabaret entertainment.
There will also be a raffle, with all
proceeds going Help for Heroes. For further
