An Idyllic
Wirral
Wedding
Every couple wants the perfect day for their dream
wedding. Here at Waterfront, we have found the
ideal location in one of the most picturesque parts
of the Wirral
ach detail that goes into creating the fairytale wedding is taken
care of at the luxurious Leverhulme Hotel and Spa, from
chilled champagne for guests upon arrival to the
carefully-honed services that allow the day to run smoothly,
leaving newlyweds to relax and enjoy.
Part of the Contessa range of boutique hotels, Leverhulme Hotel and Spa
is a quintessentially chic base for couples to use as their own blank canvas
where the day can be tailored to fulfil the couple’s desires. Up to 240 guests
can be catered for in the art deco space, offering a space for family and
friends to enjoy the striking surroundings of the hotel where the
contemporary is fused with the traditional.
Taking the basis for the wedding day, the hotel’s dedicated and highly
experienced team creates a bespoke service based on the ideas that the
couple has. Guiding them through every step to ensure the event shimmers
and sparkles from beginning to end is General Manager Bevan
Morgan-Middleton, who works with the couple from working on initial
ideas to the making them happen.
To arrive in style, the hotel provides one of the most dramatic of entrances.
T_he Rolls Royce Phantom is the arrival car of dreams. T_his, the most
desired wedding car, is finished in pearlescent rose pink. T_he customised
interior has luxuries ranging from the expected, for example the butter-soft
leather seats to the surprising, such as the cooler calibrated for champagne.
To ensure the most glamorous entrance strategy, you have a choice of the
Pink Phantom Saloon, Phantom Drophead Coupe and other Rolls Royce,
Bentley and Ascari motor cars.
T_he hotel itself offers a modern space that belies a rich history. Set in the
picturesque Garden Village of Port Sunlight on the Wirral peninsula, this
grade II-listed art deco boutique hotel is the very essence of the Contessa
genre, a finely tuned blend of classic and contemporary influences that have
come together in a stunning hotel that opened to critical acclaim following
its restoration in 2008.
T_he building was originally opened in 1907 as a cottage hospital. It formed
part of Lord Leverhulme’s philanthropic scheme for Port Sunlight, the
pioneering estate designed to provide the very best social facilities for his
workforce at his neighbouring soap works. T_he village today is recognised
as the finest example of its kind in the country, while the hotel is the ideal
base from which to explore the delights of this fascinating legacy that
stemmed from one man’s unrivalled vision.
