A camera is inevitably one of the fi rst items that today’s traveller
packs – an omnipresent tool to preserve visual reminders of our WHAT’S YOUR PROBLEM? BY STEVE KNOTT
experiences. Of course we all love browsing through our snaps after the CATEGORY LANDSCAPES, LANDMARKS AND WILDLIFE
event to recall happy events, and to share our adventures with friends or Steve wins a 28-day Livingstone’s Africa overland tour
family. Some of us take our photography quite seriously, endeavouring to
create a great image, well framed and with atmospheric light, that does the
moment justice.
At Kumuka, we embrace photography as a means of showcasing what
a wonderful world we are privileged to be able to travel in. Hence we
established our annual photography competition to allow our clients an
opportunity to share their favourite images.
The 2007 contest was our best ever, a rip-roaring success with hundreds of
entries. Which made it tough to choose our winners. But we fi nally identifi ed
the images on this spread as our favourites. We also selected half a dozen
highly commended entries in each category. To see all our winning entries,

As always, we’d like to thank all entrants for their participation in last
year’s competition and hope you’ll submit some of your pictures from this
year’s travelling to the 2008 contest!
