Niche cruise lines claim ‘resilient’ sales

NICHE cruise operators claim their itineraries
are emerging as one of the most resilient
holidays in the sector.
Tall-ships cruise company Star Clippers has
surpassed the £1 million mark for advance
bookings for the first time.
Luxury operator SeaDream Yacht Club has
enjoyed its most successful year ever and is
forecasting better sales in 2009, while rival Yachts
of Seabourn is selling 2010 cruises at record pace.
Star Clippers already has more than 600
passengers booked on its three ships for 2009,
and has attributed its success to an appetite for
niche cruise experiences.
