Inspiration gameshow:
Dual
How to do it:
Provide each student with a card which has an
A, B, C and D on it. Each student will also need
10 ‘markers’ (poker chips do the job). Prepare
some multi choice questions that the students
will need to answer (our ‘Race for success’
powerpoint would be useful for providing these).
When shown the question the students have to
ensure that they cover the correct answer with
one marker. The student is out of the game if
they fail to cover the correct answer with a
marker (they can then join a classmate).
Any markers which are placed on incorrect
answers are returned to the teacher. So if the
student is 100% convinced they know the answer
they will only use one marker and therefore still
have ten markers at the end of the question. If
they have no idea of the answer they may use a
marker on each answer (this way they will stay
in the game but lose 3 markers).
You might play until only one student is left, or
to a set period of time and see which student has
the most markers remaining.
