The first electric blender was developed in 1922, specifically for making malts and milk shakes at soda fountains.
In 1932 its inventor, Stephen J. Poplawski, received patents for a machine
that would reduce fruits and vegetables to a liquid.
George’s Chilly Chocolate Shake
Makes one tall shake, but enough to share
1/4 cup chocolate syrup, use only the best available
2 scoops vanilla or chocolate ice cream
2 Tablespoons Fresh Whipped Cream
1 Tablespoon Chopped Chocolate pieces
1 cup ice cold milk
Add syrup, ice cream and milk to blender and mix until no lumps
remain.
Add more ice cream if a thicker chocolate milkshake recipe is
desired. Add more milk if you want a thinner drink. Pour into a
tall well-chilled glass. Top with whip cream and chocolate pieces.

You can add your favorite ingredients such as ripe bananas,

frozen yoghurt or gelato, nuts, coconut, peanut butter,
peppermint extract, chocolate milk, malt, Oreo cookies etc.
