For me, NICHOLAS MATUS, at the moment it
is 6:03 PM on February 10th, 2008. I set myself
one goal for today: write my biography. Allow me
to specify: write a biography that in some way
captures my personality. Instead, I went for a bike
ride, played Pétanque and saw a dead rat on the
street. It is now 6:13 PM on February 10th, 2008.
I am no closer to reaching my goal. This will have
to do. For this issue, Nicolas Matus wrote
‘Simultaneously,’ a seemingly impossible story in
which you’re to read the parallel columns at the
same time. It’s not promised to work, but it’s
certainly worth trying. Nicholas Matus was born in
London, England and raised in Basel, Switzerland,
etc. and he wishes he was born in November.
