CENTRE FOR RESEARCH ON ADAPTIVE NANOSTRUCTURES AND NANODEVICES (CRANN)

Innovating nanoscience

CRANN is Ireland’s flagship nanoscience institute and is fast evolving into an internationally recognised centre of excellence with 150 researchers.

Opened in January 2008, CRANN is committed to delivering scientific excellence and partnering with industry to translate innovation into economic value for Ireland.

Such innovation will position CRANN as a world leader and further boost Ireland’s growing reputation in science and technology.

CRANN was made possible by key stakeholders, Science Foundation Ireland and the Higher Education Authority and a very generous gift by Dr Martin Naughton which helped put in place this state-ofthe-art facility which enables CRANN to attract leading companies and researchers.
