Winter sport devotees will adore Ski Dubai – the Middle
East’s first indoor ski resort – which has slopes with real snow
to suit all levels, from competent skiers to learner boarders.
The ruling Al Maktoum family has developed the horse
racing activities and the annual Dubai World Cup is now the
world’s richest horse race. Alternatively, a glamorous, fast,
but mostly competitive polo match can be enjoyed at Dubai
Polo Academy.
Men who have a head for heights could visit the mountain
fortress village of Hatta on the slopes of the Hajar Mountains.
Time to chill out
Those looking to re-charge their bodies and minds can in-
