proud owners of some of the county’s most loved cars and
motorbikes were showing off their cherished motors to the
public.
Neyland Classic Vehicle Club and Pembrokeshire Classic Car
Club teamed up on Sunday, July 13th, for a classic car show
overlooking the Cleddau river on Brunel Quay.
Neyland Car enthusiasts from around the county
were invited to reminisce on some classic automotive
engineering in the town
founded by the great British
engineer himself, Isambard
Kingdom Brunel.
For the owners of the
vintage Jaguars, Porches,
Cadillacs, Fords, Triumphs
and Porsches on show on
Brunel Quay, the Neyland
meeting was just one event
in the busy summer schedule.
“Between July and September we
have different shows and runs almost
every weekend; we get together and
have a good laugh and a joke,“ said
Margaret Griffiths, secretary of the
Pembrokeshire Classic Car Club.
The club has 82 paying members
with a variety of classic cars and
motorbikes and is this year celebrating
its 25th anniversary.
“We’ve got members from all around
Wales, there’s a lot of women and
younger people joining and you don’t
need to own a classic car, you just
need an interest,” said Mrs
Griffiths.
