Prizes were awarded for the best accessory, best
dressed lady and best dressed teen. Over £2,000
of fabulous raffle prizes were won, including a
holiday in Italy, artwork and beauty treatments.
“I’m delighted with the day,” said Nicola. “We
were so lucky with the weather, the entertainment
was fantastic , and the Wolfscastle Country Hotel
did us proud.
“It is always a great chance to see people you
haven’t seen for years or at least since the last
garden party.”
“It was lovely to see women of all ages there. In
one family four generations of women attended.
This year about 40 teenagers came with their
mums and there were a lot of grannies there as
well. It is lovely to see everyone dressed up and
looking beautiful.”
Nicola and her friends are already planning
next year’s event and are currently scouting for
entertainment as well as planning two more prize
filled raffles and possibly a handy man auction.
“A s long as people keep buying tickets for this
event I’ll keep organising it,” said Nicola.
