Road works affected London Road from Monday 9/6/08 to Wednesday 1 1/6/08.
41 (to Clanfield) Diverted form Horndean Precinct via London Road, Downwood Way, Hawthorn Road, Tarn Rise, Southdown Road, White Dirt Lane
and Drift Road to CLANFIELD (DRIFT ROAD SHOPS). Buses then had to circumnavigate the roundabout and the crossroads of Drift Road with
Green Lane and White Dirt Lane to commence return journey in White Dirt Lane.
X41 (to Clanfield) Diverted from Horndean Precinct via London Road, Downwood Way, Hawthorn Road, Tarn Rise, Southdown Road, White
Dirt Lane, Drift Road and Green Lane to Chalton Lane.
X41 (to Portsmouth) Diverted form South Lane via Drift Road, White Dirt Lane, Southdown Road, Tarn Rise, Hawthorn Road, Downwood Way and
London Road to Horndean Precinct.

Portsmouth Road, Horndean, was closed to northbound traffic between 0930 and 1200 on Wednesday 1 1/6/08 for road works. Service 41 was
affected.
41 (to Clanfield) Diverted from London Road [Cowplain] via London Road, Dell Piece West and Havant Road to London Road.
Road Works in Rowner, Gosport.
Beauchamp Avenue was closed for road works from Monday 2/6/08 to Friday 20/6/08 including weekends. Bus services were diverted as follows.
85 & 86 (to Fareham) Diverted from Rowner Road via Rowner Lane direct to Brewers Lane. 85 & 86 (to Gosport) Diverted from Brewers Lane via
Rowner Lane direct to Rowner Road.
87A (to Stubbington) Diverted from Copse Lane via Green Crescent and Rowner Lane to Brewers Lane.
87A (to Gosport) Diverted from Brewers Lane via Rowner Lane and Green Crescent to Copse Lane.
Road Works at Knowle.
Road works on the bridge over the railway at Knowle commenced on Monday 23/6/08 for three weeks. Service 94 was diverted thus:
94 (to Wickham) Diverted from Red Barn Lane via Kiln Road, North Hill, Wickham Road, A32, Wickham Road, Knowle Road, Knowle Avenue,
Knowle Centre, Knowle Avenue and Mayles Lane to Fareham Road.
94 (to Fareham) Diverted from Fareham Road via Mayles Lane, Knowle Avenue, Knowle Centre, Knowle Avenue, Knowle Road, Wickham Road, A32,
Wickham Road, North Hill and Hill Road to Red Barn Lane.
Road Works in Bitterne, Southampton.
West End Road, Bitterne, Southampton was resurfaced from 0930 on Monday 2/6/08 to Saturday 7/6/08, hence the following diversions.
73 & 78/78C (to Southampton) Diverted from Bursledon Road via A3025 and Maybray King Way direct to Lances Hill.
78/78C (to Fareham) Diverted from Lances Hill via Maybray King Way and A3025 direct to Bursledon Road.
Road Works in Stubbington.
Road works at the junction of Short Road and Solent Road from Tuesday 27/5/08 to Saturday 31/5/08 necessitated the following diversions.
33 Diverted from Plymouth Drive via Old Street direct to Hill Head Road. 35 Diverted from Crofton Lane via Hill Head Road direct to Old Street.
Pavement Works in Fareham.
The long term diversion of bus services away from West Street proved only to be permanent insofar as the pavement works were concerned.
Those works have now been completed and bus reverted to operating via West Street on Sunday 29/6/08 or, for those routes with no Sunday
service, Monday 30/6/08.
Tree Cutting in Stubbington Avenue, Portsmouth.
Trees along Stubbington Avenue were pruned between 0830 and 1600 on Thursday 19/6/08 with consequent road closure affecting Service 4.
4 (to Baffins) Diverted from London Road to circumnavigate the roundabout at North End Junction and operate via Chichester Road and Copnor Road to
Burrfields Road.
4 (to Stamshaw) Diverted from Burrfields Road via Copnor Road, Chichester Road and London Road to North End Junction to circumnavigate
the roundabout there to resume normal route.

FirstGroup policy is now to produce A7 size leaflets for individual services or groups of services. This was extended to Southampton in
February 2008 and the practice is now spreading to Portsmouth and Fareham areas. Those produced so far this year are listed below.
