Green Carpet Cleaning Made Easy
A
unique carpet cleaning process that is remarkably convenient is also easy on the
environment. One Minute Dry Time, based in Naples, uses special equipment
to gently massage an organic citrus compound into the carpet fibers, exfoliating and
absorbing dirt, dust mites, bacteria, pet and environmental allergens and even mold.
The simple process takes about 30 minutes for an average-sized room, and carpets
are left dry, clean, deodorized and revived.
Owner Robert Spitzer says, “We are the environmentally preferred method of
carpet cleaning. Traditional services spray water, steam, or carbonated water into your
carpet. The moistness that remains in the padding—for hours, or even days—creates
an ideal environment for mold and bacteria. Our process is all organic and guaranteed
to be dry immediately.”
Spitzer says his company cleans more than 250,000 square feet of carpet a year.
“Traditional cleaning methods use about 1.24 million gallons of water to clean the
same amount of carpet,” he advises. “We use none. That reduces energy resources
and eliminates the sewer and waste disposal problems related to contaminated water
after carpets are cleaned.”
