“The amount of client contact and responsibility has far exceeded my expectations. From the very beginning of your training contract you are expected to become an integral part of the team and your contribution as a fee earner is fully relied upon.” Harriet Vaines, Trainee 2010-2012

On joining the firm, you will have a full induction programme introducing you to each department, their expectations of trainees and the type of work you may be exposed to.

We offer four seats of six months each (including at least one contentious). You are supported throughout each seat with mid and end of seat appraisals with your dedicated training supervisor, when you have an opportunity to discuss your progress and development. Your trainee supervisor will be a partner or a senior fee-earner who supervises you and ensures that you receive a wide variety of work. During each seat, you are encouraged to complete at least one elective from your PSC, as well as participating in internal training courses.

We have quarterly trainee lunch meetings where all the trainees and supervisors are invited to exchange their views on anything that affects your life as a trainee. There are also regular fee-earner meetings to give you an opportunity to hear what’s new in the firm and to raise any points which may be of interest to the group.
