Entry requirements


In addition to our standard entry requirements, (320 UCAS points and AAB at A'Level), we are looking for candidates with:


• business acumen • excellent practical skills • foreign languages • enthusiasm and drive


in short, well-rounded individuals who can make a difference!


You will also need to be willing and eager to take on responsibility as you will be treated as a junior fee earner and encouraged to develop you own client relationships and handle your own matters under appropriate supervision.


We offer a competitive salary which is reviewed every six months, in addition to a full benefit package:


First Year (figures correct as at July 2010): 1st Seat £33,000 2nd Seat £33,666


Second Year (figures correct as at July 2010): 3rd Seat £34,332 4th Seat £35,000

Summer Vacation Placement


We appreciate how difficult it is to make the choice of which firm to apply to. You need to take an honest and objective look at all types of firms and consider which will help you achieve your maximum potential as a solicitor. At Davenport Lyons we understand the importance a vacation placement makes in helping you reach the decision of which firms to apply to for a training contract. This is why it is our aim that you are exposed to a true reflection of what life is like as a trainee at Davenport Lyons. You will experience an


unstructured programme, which encourages you to fully integrate into the firm; working alongside highly experienced partners and fee earners, where you will assist with 'real cases' in various practice areas. You will soon discover that no two days are the same!


The Summer Vacation scheme runs annually from July to September and students are paid £250 per week.
