How To Use The POSB
TO GAIN MAXIMUM BENEFIT FROM The Preacher’s Outline & Sermon Bible®, here’s all
you do. Follow these easy steps using the
sample outline below.
SUBJECT HEADING
MAJOR POINTS
SUB-POINTS
COMMENTARY
FIRST. Glance at the Subject Heading. Think about it for a moment.
SECOND. Glance at the Subject Heading again, and then the Major
Points (1, 2, 3, etc.). Do this several times, reviewing them together
while quickly grasping the overall subject.
THIRD. Glance at both the Major Points and Sub-points while reading
the Scripture. Do this slower than Step 2. Note how these points sit
directly beside the applicable verse, and how they simply restate what
the Scripture is saying—in Outline form. When you open The POSB to the beginning of any section...
FOURTH. Read the Commentary. Note: The Major Point # in the Outline directly
1. The Subject Heading describes the overall theme of the passage, and is
