Following significant capital investment over the past couple of years, Timet is keen to continue with the personal development of its staff by recruiting and experienced Operations Learning and Development Specialist.

The Role
Reporting to the European Learning and Development Manager, you will coordinate all Learning and development activities in support of the operations function of the plant.
Work closely with the Manufacturing, Engineering, HR, HSE and Quality departments to assess competency levels in order to develop Learning and Development material to meet their educational needs.
You will manage, promote and maintain appropriate tracking and reporting systems, including training identification, ongoing plans and communication.
Support the development and delivery of training in operational areas, such as SOP development, Job and Task Analysis, systems applications, support tasks such as trainer development and Change Management.
Promote Best Practice within all Learning and Development to provide effective service delivery.
Fully utilize all educational tools including e-learning and web based content.
Be familiar with, and be prepared to use external agencies where appropriate.
The Person
You will ideally possess a training qualification and have gained considerable experience in developing and delivering Learning and Development programmes including “Standards Based Training” within a manufacturing environment to ISO 9001:2000 standards.
You will have excellent drafting skills and have a proven track record in the development of presentation material for broad audiences and be comfortable presenting and teaching to mixed operational groups.
A firm understanding of learning processes and of task or job analysis for improvement and educational material design and delivery.
Familiar with modern manufacturing environments and be able to assimilate easily onto the shop floor.
The ability to understand the needs of others and manage and modify behaviours to suit.
Self motivated and driven to provide successful results , coupled with an ability to work with groups or alone as required.
