Having shown its intent to join the mobile revolution last month with the pur- chase of MacroView Labs, a leader in mobile-application development and mobile platforms for the casino gaming industry, Bally Tech- nologies has moved quickly to sure up its team. Aron Ezra and Keith

mobile

president of business devel- opment, said: “The ability to combine leading industry experts with state-of-the-art technology is what Aron and Keith bring to Bally. Their knowledge in mobile gaming, applications, and infrastructure will enable our customers to extend their existing core systems framework into the hand- held area of the gaming market. Bally systems cus- tomers will soon have the
ability to obtain a ‘single view of the patron’ across their casino floor or remotely on iPod, iPad, Android, iOS, BlackBerry and Windows Phone 7.” Prior to joining Bally, Ezra

Chip Brite cleans up at WinStar World
CleaningUp TCS JOHN HUXLEY
WinStar World Casino, owned by Chickasaw Nation, installed Chip Brite in early July and is now clean- ing up to 5,000 chips per hour, leaving every chip looking like new. With the largest gaming
floor in Oklahoma, spanning 380,000 square feet and housing 116 table games including poker, Winstar has an enormous amount of chips to clean. Staff there believe that Chip Brite’s Ultrasonic technology has proven to be the most effi- cient and safe way of getting it done.
Gaming chips are handled
by a large number of people on a daily basis and the build up of dirt and grime will not only affect the appearance and handling of gaming chips, but can also spread germs and disease. Frequent cleaning and sanitisation regimes need to be rigorously enforced to combat all these issues. Utilising ultrasonic tech-
nology, the Chip Brite system enables quick, consistent and thorough cleaning that
impacts all chip surfaces, insuring contaminants are gently removed even from small recesses and blind holes.
Bulk loads of chips are
cleaned, rinsed, and coated with an anti-slip solution and ready to go back to the tables in less than 30 minutes, allow- ing casinos to keep their chips in pristine condition without impacting opera- tions. WinStar World Casino
Blackjack manager, Raymond Wagner said: “Chip Brite is an effective and economical method for taking care of both our customers and our staff. The system is easy to use and allows us to main- tain the highest standards. Our chips look brand new and more importantly we can be confident that they are thoroughly clean and sanitised.” Greg Stewart, business
bevelopment manager of Chip Brite distributor TCS John Huxley in the Mid West Region. said: “WinStar World Casino is a truly impressive facility. I’m very pleased that WinStar chose Chip Brite for their chip cleaning solution.”

TCS John Huxley Africa recently completed the suc- cessful installation of 26 gaming tables at Suncoast Casino, marking the end of the South African casino’s two-year gaming table refur- bishment programme. “John Huxley offered exceptional product coupled with incomparable customer service and support - it really was a no brainer when a deci- sion had to be made regarding the supply of tables to our non- smoking area” commented Charlene Ludick, tables manager for Suncoast Casino. John Whiskin, managing
director, John Huxley Africa, added: “We received the order and had to complete and ship the tables within six weeks. A major undertaking for some, but not for us. There were early mornings and late nights, however we got the job done and installed within the tight time frame. The gaming floor looks magnificent - our bespoke Executive Base tables along our KRE8 layouts compliment the overall con- temporary feel of the casino.” Zolelwa Mzamane, tables manager for Suncoast Casino, added: “The replacement of tables in the non-smoking area was a breeze and now our entire floor looks trendy and upmarket.”
