Spanish Annual Gaming Report 2008
In 2008, Spain’s gaming industry
recorded an annual turnover of
€32.309bn, a 4.26 percent increase
of the amounts collected in 2007,
according to government figures
released in 2009.
Figures by subsectors:
• 10.34 per cent fall in casino revenue
• 7.83 per cent drop in bingos
• 14.82 per cent increase in gaming
machines
By regions, Madrid is the biggest gam-
bling market in Spain, followed by Cat-
alonia, Valencia, Andalusia,
Castilla-Leon and the Canary Islands.
