Open the door ...
... to the future.
A super-effi cient airplane with new passenger-pleasing features, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner will enter service in 2008.
At Saab, we are responsible for the development and production of the cargo and access doors. Built using composites,
they are extremely lightweight and part of the reason why the Dreamliner uses 20 percent less fuel than any other
airplane of its size.
At Saab Aerostructures, primary structures has always been a primary concern. For almost 70 years, we have
been challenging the laws of nature and pushing the boundaries of the possible. We have taken ideas from development
to production and we have made them fl y. That’s how we made Gripen a reality. And that’s how the 4000 other aircraft
that have left our hangars through the years, also came into being.
Today, we bring with us this knowledge and experience into international partnerships – bringing you the future
in aerostructures, and making the future in aviation come true.
