The hotel dates back to the Sixteenth
Century and was once the home of the
Sheriff of Glamorgan. Only two minutes
walk from St. Illtud’s, regarded as the
oldest church in Wales and with
Llantwit Major being the first centre of
Christian learning in the UK, the West
House Country Hotel has become one
of the most popular wedding venues in
the Vale of Glamorgan.
Catering for up to 150 guests, up to 80
guests can be seated in the main dining
room or up to 120 for a buffet.
For larger weddings (up to 140 seated
guests) a luxurious marquee can be set
up in the enclosed walled gardens,
which can also be used for the evening
party with buffet for a maximum of 150.
The hotel has twenty one en-suite
