Millinery magic
Wirral-born milliner Stephen Jones has
organised an exhibition on hats at London’s
Victoria and Albert Museum.
T_he varied collection, which runs until May,
features over 300 hats covering styles spanning
the centuries and includes an Egyptian Anubis
mask and a 1950s Balenciaga hat.
Divided into four main themes, the exhibition
takes visitors on a journey from ‘Inspiration’ and
‘Creation’ through to ‘T_he Salon’ and ‘T_he
Clients’, using famous faces such as Audrey
Hepburn and Isabella Blow to illustrate the
varied styles championed by milliners over the
years.
