Frank Rickets
GEM Lifestyle’s Operations Manager and
Regional Manager for the Germanic countries
Frank really is a man of the world. A British
national, born in Kenya of a Polish mother he is
resident in France and has business interests in
Germany! To top it all he commutes back and
forth from Germany to London on a weekly
basis. Prior to working in Network Marketing
Frank was Managing Director of a contract
agency supplying staff to the Germanic aviation
industry.
I’m finding that people can be quite dismissive of networking, how do you deal with
that negativity?
This gets me quite angry and emotional. Networking is the purest form of
marketing. It’s based on recommending a product or service that you believe in
to a friend, relative or someone you know, and asking them to do the same. It is
a pure down the line meritocracy. It doesn’t say ‘sorry you’re too old, or you’re
too young: you don’t have the right colour skin to work with us, you don’t
worship the right god, and you don’t have the right education or speak in the
right way. Networking doesn’t care about any of that – instead it welcomes
everyone. The only aspects that are important are how you perform and what
you deliver. There are no glass ceilings and no ‘old boys’ club. No other industry
on this planet can live those equal opportunities principles like Network
Marketing: so my response is simply be proud.
