Ruby Shukle is a pivotal member of the GEM Lifestyle team.
Central to virtually the entire operation, Ruby - whose many
talents include the ability to speak fluent Punjabi - is
responsible for a wide range of management functions
notably the recruitment of staff and establishing the
necessary business infrastructures as GEM Lifestyle
establishes country specific offices.
"I've just signed the contract for our Spanish offices in Valencia and
looking at securing facilities to open in Singapore in April, Argentina in
June and the United States later in the year" explained the confident
31-year old.
Ruby's eight years experience working in Human Resources, which
included a period running her own recruitment agency, are certainly
proving a huge advantage as she plans the expansion of the GEM
Lifestyle team: "I am looking to fill 30 vacancies in the UK alone from
senior management roles to product managers, IT professionals and
affiliate support" she enthuses. "By May the plan is to more than treble
the size of the team from 12 to 42. We are an online entertainment
operator; it's a sexy business with huge potential so of course we've
got people breaking the doors down to come and join us, which is
really encouraging."
Ruby is very clear about the best parts of her job; "It's a great business
with great energy and a fantastic team of people - which shouldn't
come as too much of a surprise as I employed most of them!"
