Ashford Beer Festival
Real Ales, Real Music, Real Rugby - 5th to 7th September 2008
The Ashford Beer Festival is an annual 3 day event. The festival is based around 3
key components of fun: Real Ale, Music and Rugby and is held at the Ashford Rugby
Club. The Festival is open to all and there are 40 Real ales are available
for those adventurous enough to try and taste them all!
Music has been a core component of the festival
since 2003 and this year sees the return of Belgian
band Eagle Four and popular local band Electric
River. Also playing will be Carnelian, Loose
Change, Up All Night and The Interseptors.

Tenterden Folk Festival
3rd - 5th October 2008
A full weekend festival of folk song, music and dance. Tenterden, situated in the
ancient Weald of Kent, about 12 miles west of Ashford, is an ideal setting for this
friendly, family folk festival.
There is a welcome barn dance on the Friday evening and Sunday afternoon features a
special music concert including Mawkin and The Askew Sisters.
Look out for the souvenir programme due out early September, featuring profiles on
all the festival guests.
