Normandy
The site is at Ravenoville-Plage not far from Ste Mère Église
on the Cherbourg peninsula and has direct access across a
main road to a wide, sandy beach. Whilst ideal for
overnight stops to or from the port, the site is also an
excellent base for visiting the Normandy Landing beaches,
France
with Utah Beach being the nearest. The Bayeux Tapestry
and Mont St Michel make interesting days out, and further
afield, a trip to the countryside of Suisse Normande should
not be missed.
