Knowing that it’s impossible to do everything,
he’d rather concentrate on Line dancing both
country and non-country as both styles bring
him something. “The pleasure of dancing,
while respecting the choices of others and
the pleasure of Line dancing seeing everyone
do the same thing, I’ve always liked that, like
those video clips of Michael Jackson”
Aware that Line dancing has levelled off in
the USA and to a lesser degree in the UK he
believes that eventually the same thing will
happen in France but that it will continue
somewhere, somehow. David is very happy
to see the explosion in France and says “I’m
always ready to help and participate in the
activity to bring pleasure to people.”
When he is not on the dance fl oor, you can
fi nd Davy thousands of metres up in the
Alp Mountains. He loves rambling in the
mountains as much as dancing. “To escape,
to see that in front of the grandeur of nature
we humans are nothing,
we’re very small, it puts
everything into perspective”
Earlier this year Davy had
the pleasure of attending
Linedancer Magazine’s
Crystal Boots Awards which
opened his eyes to what
was happening abroad. He’s
been invited back next year
and can’t wait to go. “I will
be hosting a workshop and
I am really thrilled! I am
going to work hard on my
English and perhaps one
day I’ll get a Crystal Boot
Award too” he jokes. Never
say never, Davy!
