Are you smarter than a
ten yr old?
How to do it:
This game is the class against the teacher! One student is
selected at random to represent the class, whilst the
remainder of the class each have an answer card (A4
whiteboards do the job). They must write their answer to
every question.
The student has to get to ten points to beat the teacher, each
correct answer is worth one point.
If the student does not know the answer they can choose
one of three options;
Peek: This means that another student is selected at
random to show their answer. The original student can use
this answer or go with one of their own (can be used twice)
Copy: As above another student is selected at random but
this time the student’s answer must be taken (can be used
twice)
All in: This time all the class have to show their answers
and the student can use this information to come up with an
answer (can be used twice)
If the student gives an incorrect answer to a question they
have a lifeline which can be used only once;
Save: As with the ‘copy’ a student is selected at random and
their answer must be correct for the original student to stay
in the game (and not let the teacher win!)
