AMERICAN WATERCOLOR SOCIETY HONORS WILL BULLAS
CopCorp Licensing President Carole Postal has announced that the Will Bullas painting ‘The Well-Dressed Painter’ was awarded the prestigious Mario
Cooper and Dale Meyers Medal by the American Watercolor Society. The medal, to honour dis-
tinguished work by an American watercolourist was presented on April 20 during the Society’s
Annual Dinner in New York City.
“Will is a wonderful person and a truly gifted artist, so it makes us happy to see his work rec-
ognized with such a prestigious award,” says Postal. “The unique combination of superb artistry
with droll humor is what gives Will Bullas artwork its instant appeal and makes it so perfect for
licensing.”
Will Bullas’ artwork can currently be found on a wide range of popular licensed products includ-
ing t-shirts, note cards, boxed Christmas cards, gift cards, gift bags, paper plates, napkins, personal
checks, and even lottery tickets.
Ohio-born Will Bullas is an award-winning watercolorist who makes “fine art fun” by utilising
a sense of visual and verbal fun. Over a career spanning nearly thirty years, Bullas has garnered
some prestigious awards for his work from such notable organizations as the American Wa-
tercolor Society, the National Watercolor Society and the Knickerbocker Artists of New York.
Popular humorous illustrated books by Bullas include Have a Cool Yule, P.S. I Love You, The
Sporting Life, and The FUNdamental Guide to Professions. Bullas also provided the illustrations
for the children’s alphabet book M is for Masterpiece written by David Domeniconi.
