‘I arrived at the Academy with experience of directing choirs and orchestras but wanting to take my conducting to a higher and more professional level: the course has met and surpassed my expectations in this respect.

My musical and technical abilities have been stretched through the intensive weekly routine of technique, aural and singing lessons; regular master-classes have provided opportunities to benefit from the wisdom and experience of many leading lights from the field of choral music; my knowledge and understanding of repertoire is rapidly growing—and the library has proved an invaluable resource, with many happy hours spent poring over scores and listening to recordings. And all this takes place in a dynamic environment where on a daily basis I meet and work with talented and committed musicians, many of whom are stars in the making. It’s a privilege to be part of it.’
