What will you do with the rest of your life?

What, you mean you don’t already know? You’ve spent the last few years studying and running up a mountain of debt for what? This is the position that more and more college leavers and graduates find themselves in every year. After Graduation – What Next? looks at why it is better to bide your time when looking for that all important first job than to accept the first thing that comes along.

And if you haven’t yet finished your course and are looking for a temporary summer job, Work Experience – Preparation for your Future has some useful tips and web sites that specialise in offering seasonal vacancies.

If you are a jobseeker who has long felt that your job chances are limited because of your ethnicity or disability, as a Welsh Recruitment reader, you’ll be aware of our regular Access All Areas feature which delves into the issues that affect you. This week we look at the work of ESTEEM and Blind in Business – two organisations that have recently launched projects to help people like you into employment.

Keep your eye on the latest jobs in this weeks issue and be sure to log onto WelshRecruitment.co.uk for the most up to date vacancies in South Wales.

In the next issue of Welsh Recruitment we will continue our focus on school and college leavers with a look at why more and more students are opting to take a gap year before going to university. And we will be reviewing some of the best careers advice books available to help you at whatever stage of your career.

All this as well as our regular careers news updates, all the best local jobs and expert opinion on the matters that affect you.
