BioLab were another specialist company taking the message about
water quality to commercial pools
“I don’t think LIW is an instant response event. We did well there
last year but it takes time in the commercial market to evaluate
things. We have been getting quality leads and we take the view
there is a lot of quality at the show which might takes us three
years to really benefit from. It isn’t an instant response.”
Plastica Pools were back at LIW with a higher profile. The
companies focus was on commercial covers and commercial range
of cleaning products.
“The bigger pool market perfectly suits some of our product
range and that’s why LIW is attractive to us,“ said a spokesperson.
Visitors from hotels, leisure clubs and spas in the sauna and
steam bath market attracted specialist companies such as Helo
(UK) Ltd, Viking Sauna and Steam Ltd and DaleSauna Ltd.
Topline, UV distributor KK Water, Siemens Water Technologies and
Biolab were all at the show to highlight their abilities to improve and
safeguard water quality in commercial and leisure centre pools.
Aqua Sphere Ltd’s NE Sales Representative said: “The launch of
our new products has been very well received – as were our fashion
catwalk shows – and we’ve achieved some very good leads from
councils and leisure trusts, for example.”
AT LAST - Swimming Pool SwimFin’s Managing Director Kev Moseley commented: “We had
Underground Thermal Insulation
plenty of visitors with positive responses and, having followed up
on the leads, our sales and direct contacts have multiplied.”
Save Energy & Protect Pipes
While there was plenty to see for commercial pool and spa
operators, away from the product offerings on the show floor the
Save energy & protect pipes
daily programmes of lively activity in the impressive Astral Pool
included the life saving demonstrations by the Royal Life Saving
Society and synchronised swimming by the Amateur Swimming
Association (ASA) and Steve Parry’s Total Swimming.
Visitors were also attracted by the complementary education
programmes being staged including the National Pool Lifeguard
Symposium and the ISRM Swimming Pool Management
Workshops. spn
