R EACHING OUT TO OTHERS
Tony Jaccaci’s Global Studies class organized a
dress-down day on April 21 to benefit two groups
in Uganda, where they visited last March. The
proceeds went to the Save the Children—Naka-
songola Office and Community Action Fund for
Women in Africa (CAFWA), a non-governmental
organization.
Members of the Community Service Council
raised money for the Martin Luther King Jr. Cen-
ter in Newport with a dress-down day on May 4.
The center offers a variety of programs to help
underprivileged communities in Newport and
Middletown.
On May 16 community members helped fac-

faculty, raise money for the Dana Farber Cancer
