is to exceed your expectations.
8 The Heart of Arizona
We serve the towns of Payson and Star Valley, and the communities of
Christopher Creek, Pine, and Strawberry, which comprise the true “Heart

of Arizona.” As you will find, and so many have told us, we are about the
friendliest area in all of Arizona.
Payson is the rodeo capitol of Arizona. The 124th Annual World’s Oldest
18 Zane Grey Cabin
Continuous Rodeo will be held at the Town of Payson’s Multi-Event Center Au-
gust 15-17, 2008. This Rodeo is a PRCA sanctioned event that includes many
of the best contestants in the world participating for prize money and points.
20 Outdoor Fun
Another PRCA rodeo is held in the springtime in the Multi-Event Center. The
Town of Payson also hosts the Miss Rodeo Arizona Pageant (sponsored by the
Payson Pro Rodeo Committee) and an excellent High School Rodeo.
26 Tonto National Forest
Arizona Rim Country is multi-dimensional. Hiking, camping, hunting, ﬁsh-
ing in tiny creeks or large lakes, boating, rock hounding, and mountain biking

are available within minutes. Photographers and hunters will ﬁnd wildlife every-
where and bird watchers have endless opportunities. We are a photographer’s
dream destination with blue skies and a true four-season environment. 28 Lodging Guide
You can be part of our community by simply enjoying any of the four mild
seasons. We have affordable golf, and large family parks and lakes for visitors

of all ages. Art and craft shows, as well as festivals, abound. Since you are our

best to make your visit to Arizona Rim Country memorable. 
