In Sub-Saharan Africa alone, 45 million children don’t get the chance to
go to school.
For most of Africa's children, education represents the only chance to escape from
entrenched poverty. School is about much more than providing work skills. It's playing an
increasingly vital role in helping children secure their own future – improving confidence,
community cohesion, and providing knowledge of health and nutrition to keep them safe
and well.
