Feel like your time is running out?

We know how you feel. It’s that time of year when many of you will be focusing on your final exams at school or college. But, niggling at the back of your mind is the worry about what you will do afterwards – further education, get a job, or take a year out. Don’t panic.

If you are still unsure about what you are going to do, we take a look one option that is fast becoming one of the most popular choices for young adults looking to start a fantastic career. We talk to Access Training to find out how they turn trainees into successful tradespeople and equip them with the tools to enter the workforce or even start their own businesses.

And, talking of successful people, this week we met Rick Towers, general manager for one of the UK’s biggest advertising agencies, TMP, to get the low down on the recruitment marketplace in South Wales and what he sees as the main challenges issues for employers and employees both now and in the near future. Rick also tells us what its like to work at one of the most enviable industries around.

In the last issue we told you about some of the interview faux pas that people do during an interview. But, in order to get invited to attend in the first place you need to have a good CV. This week we will show you how to write a winning CV that will open doors for you and boost your chances of landing that ideal job.

And, continuing our regular focus on championing the needs of the less advantaged, we look at how Disability Wales is proactively improving the working lives of people with disabilities in this country. And we look at how the organisation has been leading the way in supporting budding entrepreneurs in setting up their own businesses.

So, read, enjoy and be sure to pick up your copy of the next issue of Welsh Recruitment which will have more practical advice for securing your ideal job as well as the usual round-up of all the best new jobs in South Wales.
