ROYAL GOLF DE HAINAUT
The region of Mons is the closest accommodation hub from the
Eurotunnel exit, just under 2 hours drive (via Lille). It is ideal for 2 night
breaks or longer stays, perhaps combining two centres with Spa or Marche en
Famenne in the Ardennes. Mons is also very close to Charleroi airport (30 min
drive) and about 1 hour south of Brussels. You have the superb course at
Royal Golf Club de Hainaut, which was designed by Tom Simpson, 27 holes
of lovely parkland golf in rich forest. The classy layout of Mont Garni has a
memorable mix of holes through mature oaks. The Mons region is very close
to the golf courses of Hulencourt, Pierpont and Chateau de la Tournette,
which give more golfing options.
The region of Waterloo is just south of Brussels and is widely
known as the ‘Garden of Brussels’ - the rich playground of the Belgian people.
It is a region with a heavy forest belt, beautiful contrasting and undulating
scenery and a plethora of 14 great golf courses all within the same 15 mile
radius. The golf courses have great strength in depth, with Royal Waterloo and
Bercuit (both previous venues of the Belgian Open) and great contrast in

styles of courses - parkland, stadium and heathland.
Our most popular golf venues are Chateau de la Tournette and Chateau Sept
Fontaines which are both 36 hole venues. Hulencourt is our pick of the
bunch! The re-opened Royal Waterloo is magnificent now after 2 years of
upgrading. Waterloo is just over 2 hours drive from the Eurotunnel exit and
30 min from Charleroi airport (ryanair).
Belgium gives you far more options than Le Touquet, because there are so
many courses and the region is only 30 minutes south of Brussels.
