GOLF DE DURBUY - from £31 to £38
our opinion.
In our view this course is the very best we have seen in Belgium.
Yet another impressive golf course with Royal Patronage and again designed in the
1930s by Tom Simpson.
We inspected it in early February and it was totally immaculate in all aspects. The design
is breathtaking from start to finish and it is hard to find a course as good as this
in France.

lovely natural mature feel to all the course and the lovely old clubhouse, has bags of
warm ambience and a great restaurant, which seems to be the norm in Belgium.
GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB HENRI-CHAPELLE - from £33 to £39
The course is very close to the city of Liege and is consequently one of the busiest,
nevertheless it does welcome British golfers. Buggies available but not recommended.
Set on high land in the Ardennes and only 15 minutes from the centre of Spa, Henri
Chapelle is a very scenic and hilly layout with great views across the rolling countryside,
which is in the east Ardennes, close to the German border.
FIVE NATIONS
A lovely old rustic clubhouse with piles of ambience, this is a very popular member’s club
but very welcoming to visitors. There are some steep climbs and some great elevated tees
with dramatic back drops. Totally contrasting to the style of golf at Spa.
INTERNATIONAL GOMZE - from £33 to £39
Designed by French architect Paul Rollin is has a fine reputation across Belgium.
The course would be one of the three you would play staying at Spa.
The course comprises of ancient woods, rolling meadows and orchards, with a very
varied landscape and plenty of changes of elevation. The modern clubhouse adds
ambience and welcomes visitors with a fine standard of cuisine. Probably a buggy course
but 50/50!
ROUGEMONT GOLF DE NAMUR - from £28 to £35
This spectacular course was designed in 1986 by its own members, so has a natural
and less professional feel. It is an ideal course to play en route for Spa or Marche on the
way to, or the way back from the Eurotunnel. The course is markdly hilly with some big
changes of elevation and several down hillroller coaster tee shots. There are some
stunning views across the Meuse Valley. Buggies are recommended here.
