Why do it?
• To encourage confidence to shoot
• To react quickly to shooting opportunities
• To practice variety in shooting techniques
• To have fun
hoW to do it?
• A diamond pitch is used for a 3v3 / 4v4 game.
• There is a third team on the outside of the pitch with
a ball each held in their hands.
• When the coach calls the name of a player on the
outside they roll their ball on the pitch.
• The two teams react to try and score as quickly as
possible (the size of the pitch should allow for shoots
to be taken from all areas of the pitch).
• If a ball goes out of the pitch then the coach calls
another name.
• The players on the outside of the pitch must quickly
retrieve their ball and return anyway on the outside.

• Players on the outside ‘play’ for one of the teams
• Vary the feed to include bounced balls
• More points for first time shots
