I
n relative terms, it changes our per-
spective on everything. Speed reveals
as much about our fears and desires
as it befuddles our clear understanding of
the universe. Yet, efforts to generate and
control its power continue to fuel our ideas
and inventions. For speed enthusiast Clay
Andrews, it led to the creation of Hype
Manufacturing. This progressive contract
manufacturing company has, in just one
year, established itself as a front-runner.
Following a design which may be loosely
based upon Andrews’ philosophy of life,
the company is free of corner offices. It is
an open and even playing field, a place
where anyone can reach nearly anything,
and began with an independent spirit and Waterjet and laser
