What does it take to be a good enough
striker to beat you?
I am sorry- I won’t give you an advice how
to beat me! But I can tell you that there are
more than a few strikers who did it… What is your day-by-day training regime in
the run-up to the Olympics?
We are training 12 times a week - that
means two sessions every day. One athletic
session in the morning and one hockey
training in the evening.
Is this Germany’s year to win a gold medal?
There are a few teams who have legitimate
hopes to win the gold medal. I know that
my team trained hard and is well prepared
for the games. At the end oft the day there
are many factors that influences the final
ranking. If my team resists the pressure of
the games then I am confident that we will
be one of the teams on the podium.
Why did you choose to use adidas?
First the material is perfect and gives me the
chance to train hard and improve my game.
Second it’s an honour to be a face of adidas
- one of the biggest sporting producers
worldwide. For our sport it’s a big chance
to get more attention and also get improved
equipment.
