Disney’s Year of a Million Dreams
Big promotion planned at US parks
New attractions and entertainment are promised this season at the Walt Disney
World and Disneyland resorts in Florida and California as part of the “Year of a
Million Dreams” celebration.
From a Fastpass badge to an overnight stay inside Cinderella Castle, there will
also be more than a million ‘dream’ giveaways for guests chosen at random.
“Throughout this incredible celebration, special dreams and unique
experiences once thought impossible will be awarded by our cast every day,” says
Jay Rasulo, chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. “Disney parks are always
the place where dreams come true – but even more so during the Year of a
Million Dreams.“
To promote the year-long celebration, a series of star portraits have been
created by world-renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz. In one of three images
commissioned from Leibovitz, acclaimed actress Scarlett Johansson portrays the
famous Disney Princess Cinderella.
The other two images feature singer/actress Beyonce Knowles, actor Oliver
Platt and singer/songwriter Lyle Lovett in a giant, whirling teacup from Disney’s
Alice in Wonderland, and international soccer star David Beckham portraying Scarlett Johansson by
Prince Phillip atop a white steed slaying a fire-breathing dragon in a scene from Annie Leibovitz for Disney
Disney’s Sleeping Beauty.

Celebrating the two Disney-Pixar Toy Story
films, Toy Story Mania will b a high-tech
interactive ride experience rooted in classic
midway games of skill. Donning 3D
glasses, passengers will shrink to the size of
a toy and travel and twist along a colorful Finding Nemo
route

The underwater world that charmed
audiences in the Disney-Pixar film Finding
Nemo comes to life in an all-new musical
stage show at Disney's Animal Kingdom,
Walt Disney World Resort, Florida. Nemo, Dory, and Squirt make a big splash
Finding Nemo-the Musical is a in an eye-filling new dark ride attraction at
Broadway-quality production with animated Walt Disney World’s Epcot. The Seas with
backdrops, dancers, actors and colourful Nemo & Friends brings the familiar Finding
puppetry. The theatrical ensemble for the Nemo characters to life as guests travel
musical includes co-creators Tony Award- along in ‘clamobiles’ for an undersea
winning Robert Lopez and his wife Kristen voyage in a colourful world of coral and
Anderson-Lopez, plus the puppetry of amazing animation.
Michael Curry, who co-designed the The attraction anchors the newly renamed
detailed, character puppets in the The Seas with Nemo & Friends pavillion in
Broadway version of Disney's The Lion King. Epcot Future World.
